The idea

Why a personal trainer beats a gym membership

In Morocco the gym membership is rarely the problem — turning up is. Between office hours in Casablanca, Marrakech in the summer heat and gyms packed at peak times, most sign-ups do not survive the third month. One-to-one coaching flips that logic: the coach comes to you, the session is built around your diary, and every exercise is chosen for your actual level rather than the average of a group class.

Zora Fitness brings together independent, vetted coaches — qualified, working in the field and specialised — and connects you directly with the one who matches your goal, your city and your budget. There is no membership to sign and no twelve-month tie-in: you pick a coach, you agree the format and the rhythm, and you start.

Whether you want to lose fat before the summer, get back into sport after years away, prepare for a fight or simply get rid of a back that has been hurting for months, one-to-one coaching remains the fastest and safest route — because someone corrects your posture in real time and adjusts the load session after session.

Session formats

Four ways to train with a coach

The right format is the one you will still be doing in six months. Here is what the coaches in the network offer, and what each one is actually good for.

Personal training at home

The coach comes to you with the kit needed. No travel, no waiting for a machine, and complete privacy — it is the format most requested by women and by anyone starting again from scratch.

  • No travel, session built around your diary
  • Equipment brought by the coach (bands, kettlebells, mat)
  • Works in a flat as well as a villa with a garden
  • Ideal for beginners and for coming back after an injury

Coaching in the gym

You keep your usual gym and the coach meets you there. You get free weights and machines, and they teach you to use them properly — the best option for building muscle.

  • Access to heavy loads and guided machines
  • Proper technique on the core lifts
  • Progress tracked in numbers, session after session
  • In your gym, or in the coach's

Outdoor training

Parks, beaches, pitches and private gardens: training outdoors combines cardio, bodyweight strength work and actual fresh air. Particularly good early morning or late afternoon.

  • Cardio circuits and bodyweight strength work
  • Pairs and small groups possible
  • Off-peak times to dodge the heat
  • No heavy equipment needed

Online personal training

Live video sessions, a written programme and video feedback on your technique. The most flexible and most affordable format: it works as well for expats as for people who travel constantly.

  • Live sessions by video call, wherever you are
  • Written programme, updated every week
  • Technique corrected from the videos you send
  • Message support between sessions

Goals

What is your goal?

Every coach in the network has a speciality. Tell us which of these sounds like you and we point your request at the right profile.

Fat loss and weight loss

A calorie deficit you can actually hold, strength work to protect muscle, cardio in the right dose. The aim: lose fat without losing energy, and without putting it back on three months later.

Muscle gain and strength

Structured load progression on the core lifts, weekly volume tracked, and practical nutrition advice so the muscle you build stays.

Getting back into it after a long break

A gradual restart, without the demoralising soreness. We rebuild mobility and base cardio first, then add load.

Boxing, combat sports and conditioning

Striking technique, footwork, sport-specific conditioning. Coached by people who have competed — for fitness as much as for fighting.

Back, posture and mobility

For desk jobs: deep core work, hip and shoulder mobility, postural strengthening. The most effective format against lower back pain.

Seniors and health

Gentle strength work, balance and fall prevention, taking existing conditions and medical advice into account.

How it works

How it actually works

From your first message to your first session, expect 24 to 72 hours.

1

You describe your goal

A WhatsApp message or the form on this site is enough: your city, your current level, what you want to reach and when you are free.

2

We suggest a coach

We point you to one or two coaches suited to your goal, your neighbourhood and your budget, with their background and references.

3

Assessment and first session

A first conversation to gauge your fitness, your history and your constraints. The coach then builds the plan from that assessment.

4

Programme and follow-up

Sessions run at the rhythm you agreed, with regular adjustments and message support between appointments.

Prices

How much does a personal trainer cost in Morocco?

Rates vary with the format, the city, how far the coach travels and how many sessions you buy up front. Here are the ranges seen on the Moroccan market today.

Format Length Typical rate Worth knowing
Online (video call) 45 to 60 min 200 – 450 MAD The most affordable, ideal to start
At home 60 min 250 – 650 MAD Depends on the district and the travel
In a gym or outdoors 60 min 220 – 600 MAD Gym entry not included
Pair or small group (2 to 4) 60 min 150 – 350 MAD / person Cost per person drops sharply
Monthly pack (8 to 12 sessions) 1 month 1,800 – 5,000 MAD Reduced rate, nutrition support often included

These ranges are indicative: the exact rate is agreed directly with the coach, based on your goal, the frequency and where you are. Zora Fitness charges no introduction fee.

What sets us apart

What changes with Zora Fitness

We are not a gym and we do not sell memberships. Our only job is to put the right coach in front of you.

Vetted coaches

Diplomas, years of experience and client references are all checked before a profile goes live on the site.

A programme genuinely built for you

No copy-paste routine: the plan starts from your initial assessment, your history and the time you actually have.

No membership, no tie-in

You pay for sessions, not for a year of gym. Stop, change rhythm or change coach whenever you like.

The coach travels

Home, residence, gym, park or beach: in most cases the coach comes to you, not the other way round.

French, Arabic, English

Our coaches work with Moroccans as readily as with expats and visitors passing through.

Support between sessions

Nutrition questions, a tweak to the programme, doubt about a movement: your link with the coach does not stop when the hour ends.

Coverage

Where to find a coach near you

Our coaches currently work in person in Marrakech and its residential districts. Elsewhere in Morocco, online coaching is available straight away, and we look for a coach on the ground on request.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about personal training

Rates, equipment, rhythm, results: the answers to what people ask before a first session.

How much does a personal trainer cost in Morocco?

Expect roughly 200 to 450 MAD per session over video call, 250 to 650 MAD at home and 220 to 600 MAD in a gym or outdoors. Packs of 8 to 12 sessions bring the unit price down by 15 to 30%. The rate depends mostly on the city, how far the coach travels and how experienced they are.

Will the coach come to my home?

Yes, that is the most requested format. The coach comes to your home, your residence, your garden or your building's gym, bringing the small equipment needed. A travel supplement may apply for districts far from the centre.

Do I need equipment at home?

No. Two metres by two is enough space for most home sessions. The coach brings bands, kettlebells, straps or a mat depending on the programme. If you already own equipment, they will build it into your sessions.

How many sessions a week should I plan?

Two coached sessions a week is the most common rhythm and the best value for money. One a week is enough if you train on your own the rest of the time using the programme provided; three to four is for competition goals or fast transformations.

How long before I see results?

The first effects you feel — energy, sleep, breathing — arrive within two to three weeks. Visible changes to your shape usually show between week six and week ten at two sessions a week, provided your eating follows. No serious coach will promise you something spectacular in ten days.

Can I start if I have never done any sport?

That is actually the best moment. A coach matches the intensity to your starting point and corrects your technique from the very first movement, which avoids the classic injuries of coming back to training. The first session is generally an assessment: mobility, breathing, any pain, medical history.

Do coaches also help with nutrition?

Most support their clients on eating habits: how to spread meals, protein intake, hydration, handling eating out. This is sports advice, not a dietetic consultation: where there is a medical condition (diabetes, eating disorders, post-operative care), the coach works alongside a doctor or dietitian.

Is online personal training really effective?

Yes, on two conditions: a camera positioned so the coach can see your execution, and a written programme to follow between the calls. Online coaching gets excellent results on fat loss and general fitness. For learning heavy Olympic lifts, a few in-person sessions at the start remain preferable.

Are there female coaches?

Yes. Many of our clients prefer to be coached by a woman, at home or in a women-only gym. Say so in your request and we will point you straight to a female coach available in your city.

What happens in the first session?

It opens with ten to fifteen minutes on your goals, your medical history and your availability, followed by a few simple tests: mobility, core, breathing. The coach finishes with a light workout to gauge your real level, then proposes a plan over four to eight weeks.

Ready to start your transformation?

Describe your goal in two lines: we reply with the profile of the coach who fits best, their availability and their rate.
